A Carbon Footprint is a measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide. A Carbon Footprint is made up of the sum of two parts, the direct / primary footprint and the indirect / secondary footprint.
1. The primary footprint is a measure of our direct emissions of CO2 from the burning of fossil fuels including domestic energy consumption and transportation (e.g. car and plane).
2. The secondary footprint is a measure of the indirect CO2 emissions from the whole lifecycle of products we use - those associated with their manufacture and eventual breakdown.Posted by They Call Me Bushfinger at 2:03 PM 0 comments

We were just about to unleash "Episode Six: The Chip Foose Interview" on y'all in true HD thius weekend, when we ran into a serious of glitchs based on a lack of available hard drive space on our servers. Yes, I know- totally lame.
We finally got the episode up, but am now looking into how to up the storage we have have, or switch hosting companies all together. Hence the short delay. Look for shiny new episodes to knock your socks off in multiple formats soon, including H.264, AppleTV, and HD (That's "high-definition" for all you under the bridge).
Don't forget that you can follow the progress of Motorkult TV on our blog, website, and now, at everyone's favorite hang out, MySpace! (MySpace.com/MotorKultFriends)

Yeah no one asked but...
First let me admit that I hate mainstream media. I never listen to the radio, rarely go to the movies, and I canceled my Cable subscription 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I'm certainly not the guy you want to review a TV show! (lol)
However, I finally saw Episode Two (and a glimspe of Ep 1) of "Street Tuner Challenge" last night @ my friend's house (the same guy who recorded, then deleted Ep. 1 cuz he needed the HD space for "Weeds"?!?). But I digress...
Already knowing what the finished cars will look like, it was interesting to watch the show for "show's sake"; Very MTV-wannabe, very "16-28 male", visually speaking. Certainly not produced with diehard tuners, racers, or even show-car fans in mind. I found myself hoping for a couple commercials just to remind me I was watching mainstream media.
Having met most of the Fireballed! Racing guys on many occasions- and I'll admit they're not the staunchest crew out there- in my opinion the production thus far taints the seriousness in which they take the actual under-the-hood aspects of their products in favor of the over-the-top visual designs Hollywood loves so much (the fact that they insist on referring to the FBR team as "the hollywood team" kinda says it right there). Fireball Tim certainly knows how to work the camera and certainly ads to the entertainment value of the show, so it makes for good TV I guess. I really wish I knew more about the other crews (Focus Sport, Skunk2 Racing) and could compare their "treatment".
As a fairly new car "enthusiast", I do like the different directions each shop is taking their cars and the persona to match is cool too (can you say "executive pre-production meeting"?). From what I saw of Episode One and Episode Two in its entirety, I think the show will get better (i.e. less camp, more technical) as the season progresses.
At the end of the day, it's just another "reality" TV show designed to space out the commercials and make me think Smirnoff Ice isn't just another flavored malt beverage. If my friend remembers to TiVo them I'll probably watch the rest of the episodes just to give STC/Speed Channel the numbers and validate the MINI brand. (Wow- I could be blatantly pimping my own online show right now, but I got C+ in Marketing!)
As a non-TV-watcher I look forward to other objective reviews of the show as they begin to surface.
Look! A pirate! -->

Hello Everyone: In the interest of "transparency"*...
Today is Saturday, Sept. 29th. You should be watching Episode 4 of Motorkult TV. However, in the time and preparation for, attendance at, and halo effect of the Podcast and New Media Expo, we humbly admit we're a tad behind shedule. More on all that later, as we're about to head back out to the Ontario Convention Center and absorb the many resources available at this event. We apologize for the delay. Here are a few photos.
*transparency
Main Entry: trans·par·en·cy
Pronunciation: tran(t)s-'per-&n(t)-sE
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -cies
1 : something transparent; especially : a picture (as on film) viewed by light shining through it or by projection
2 : the quality or state of being transparent
3: "New Media" Buzzword for 2007-2008
The first "event" of the "PNME" was the un-official, technically un-related "PodCamp".
What is PodCamp? In their words,
PodCamp is a FREE UN-CONFERENCE for people who create, enjoy or are interested in learning more about blogs, vlogs, audio podcasts, web video, content networks, new and social media. Show up, meet people, make connections it's that simple!

Hello we're testing blogger's video upload feature today. This should automatically become a video podcast, and in theory, save some server space on my side. We'll see!
