AMVIV Special Announcement! :)
Once again Behind The Vroom will be at A MINI VACATION IN VEGAS ("AMVIV"), March 26-29, 2009. (www.amviv.com)
We are working on some cool stuff including grabbing lots of video, interviews, and a few surprises for your enjoyment! This year Behind The Vroom will be partnering with the world famous White Roof Radio for tandem coverage of the event. For those of you that aren’t going to make it, videos will be available at WhiteRoof.tv, So, get over there and get subscribed!
"What's an AMVIV?" you ask? Why, only the largest gathering of Mini and MINI Cooper enthusiasts this side of the Mississippi! (I kinda made that up, but it's probably true!) Hosted by the Sin City Mini Club and housed at Palace Station Hotel and Casino, AMVIV is a can't-miss weekend of cool cars, cool people, exciting "runs" and related events, located in the heart of "America's Playground", Las Vegas, Nevada. Who can resist?!?
For those who will be attending, don't be afraid to come up and say hello- we love that kinda stuff! See you there!

Welcome to Behind the Vroom!
The entries were posted, the fans voted, and as a result, we would like to re-introduce you to the show that covers all elements of the auto enthusiast lifestyle- Tuners, imports, track cars, dragsters, muscle cars, classics, etc.
We will still cover some of the coolest Southern California car events, meet the folks behind the Southern California "car culture" and with a new name and format, we're sure you will enjoy it as much as, if not more than our old favorite Motorkult TV.
Wanna pimp your own car show, event, gathering, or personal ride or project? We are always looking for tips and invites so leave us a comment and we'll get back to you!
Look for us in August at the following Southern California events:
Aug 1-3 2008
MINI Takes The States @ Pasadena/Rose Bowl
Aug 9 2008
Hot Import Nights/Night Shift @ Pomona Fairplex
Aug 10 2008
Big SoCalEuro Gathering 2008 @ Qualcomm Stadium
Aug 14-16 2008 8:00A
New Media Expo @ Las Vegas Convention Center

And the Winner Is... (Re-Name The Show Contest)
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for!!!!
The entries were posted, the votes came in, and we are excited to announce a winner for the Motorkult TV "Re-Name The Show Contest", just in time for a full month of engagements (see schedule below)!
2nd runner up, with 17% of the votes is... "Mod Freak Showdown", submitted by Dennis Perez of Fontana, California! (Wow- that sounds like a cool show!)...
1st runner-up (which took me about 20 years to figure out isa nice way of saying 2nd Place) with 33% of the votes is... "Modtime TV", also a show I would watch, also submitted by... Dennis Perez of Fontana, California!
And the winning entry, coming in with 50% of the votes... submitted by Brian Cupples of Riverside, Ca.... [drumroll please]...
Brian wins the GRAND DADDY BIG OL' BADASS prize package which includes:
* An exclusive "STAFF" t-shirt or polo (obviously, only available to staff, and Brian!)
* An "Associate Producer" Byline for the first 5 episodes, because that always looks good on paper;
* An entire episode based on his suggestion/request
* Free trinkets, swag or other merchandise for a full year!
* Unlimited bragging rights
And because I'm that way, we'll be sending Dennis a t-shirt as well!
Each entry is a great name *and* interesting concept for a show and I appreciate the input from you- the fans. Who knows, we might even spin off a couple shows as a result of this contest! We've only got one week before a full schedule of engagements so exactly how to transition to the new moniker will be tricky! Look for us at the following Southern California events in August:
Aug 1-3 2008
MINI Takes The States @ Pasadena/Rose Bowl
Aug 9 2008
Hot Import Nights/Night Shift @ Pomona Fairplex
Aug 10 2008
Big SoCalEuro Gathering 2008 @ Qualcomm Stadium
